About Dr. Edward Searle
Dr. Edward Searle completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, where he earned his B.A. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. He minored in drama and is occasionally heard quoting Shakespeare around the office. Moving east, he earned his M.D. from the University of Cincinnati, where he also completed an internship in internal medicine. Remaining in Cincinnati, Dr. Searle undertook a research fellowship in the Department of Dermatology, paving the way to beginning his formal dermatology training at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, where he finished his residency in 1994.
Dr. Searle is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Considering himself a “consummate generalist,” he is adept in all aspects of the profession, and enjoys treating a wide variety of skin conditions, including challenging inflammatory dermatoses (“rashes”), psoriasis, eczema, acne, warts, moles and other growths, and skin cancer. He is also skilled in cosmetic dermatology and skin rejuvenation. From infants to octogenarians, all ages are welcome. Dr. Searle does it all with respect and genuine compassion, which immediately lets patients know he truly cares about them and their skin.
